I am a lecturer in the American Sign Language program at the University of Iowa and a PhD candidate at George Mason University in the department of History and Art History. My dissertation project, With Eloquent Fingers He Preached: The Episcopal Mission to the Deaf, traces the development of the Church Mission to Deaf-Mutes, an Episcopal organization that grew in size and prominence between 1850 and 1920. I study digital history, nineteenth- and twentieth-century American religious histories, and deaf history.
My work is available on Github and on my Digital Projects page. I am on twitter at @jannellelegg . Contact me at jannellelegg (at) gmail.com.
